NB: The entire American establishment is responsible for this genocidal mania. It's all very well to recognise the Armenian genocide of 1915, Mr. President - you don't even notice the murder of children in Palestine. And you talk of 'both sides' when there's only one side Mr Biden, the Palestinians do not have a state, an army nor any rights whatsoever. What little land they have left is subject to constant encroachment. This happens every five to seven years, a periodic bloodletting to remind us who's boss.

In the latest round of hostilities, Gaza health officials put the Palestinian death toll at 212, including 61 children and 36 women.Ten people have been killed in Israel, including two children. There was outrage from some Democrats over a Washington Post report that the administration had approved the sale to Israel of $735m-worth of precision-guided bombs. There are decent Israelis who see and speak out about what their country is doing, but not you leaders of the so-called free world. You smell of human blood Mr Biden, you and Trump and the rest of you stinking American Presidents. May God forgive you. DS


A heartbreaking video of a 10-year-old Palestinian girl, narrating the situation around her, has gone viral on social media. The 1.19-minute video, which was filmed by Middle East Eye, features the young Nadine Abdel-Taif standing around a pile of rubble after the Israeli airstrikes.

In the footage, the visibly emotional Nadine questioned why she and the people around her are being attacked. “I’m always sick. I can’t do anything. I am only 10,” she can be heard saying in the viral clip. “What am I supposed to do? Fix it? I’m only 10. I can’t even deal with this anymore,” said the young Gaza resident tearing up. “I just want to be a doctor or anything to help my people. But I can’t. I’m just a kid. I don’t even know what to do. I get scared, but not really that much. I’d do anything for my people. But I don’t know what to do,” she adds….

Human Rights Watch has accused Israeli officials of committing the crimes of apartheid and persecution, claiming the government enforces an overarching policy to “maintain the domination by Jewish Israelis over Palestinians”. In a report released on Tuesday, the New York-based advocacy group became the first major international rights body to level such allegations. It said that after decades of warnings that an entrenched hold over Palestinian life could lead to apartheid, it had found that the “threshold” had been crossed.

“This is the starkest finding Human Rights Watch has reached on Israeli conduct in the 30 years we’ve been documenting abuses on the ground there,” said Omar Shakir, the group’s Israel and Palestine director. Shakir said his organisation had never before directly accused Israeli officials of crimes against humanity…

The People’s Union for Democratic Rights on Tuesday alleged that third degree torture methods were used by the Gurgaon Criminal Investigation Agency while interrogating workers of Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s Manesar plant who are accused of involvement in the killing of an HR manager and the violent attack at the plant on July 18. The PUDR alleged that the Gurgaon CIA investigation “did not seem” to be directed at solving the crime or probing the involvement of the arrested workers in the incidents and crimes recorded in the FIR but instead was based on their involvement in trade union activities. NB:  An interesting obituary to a great intellectual. My knowledge of the situation is limited, but as regards this article,  I'm uncomfortable with the argument that there should be no objection to the participation  of communal parties  in a democratic alliance. My views on this are conditioned by the history of religion-based mobilisations in India, where the communist movement has from time to time allied with communal groups of all colours, with disastrous consequences.
