John Oliver Slays Boris Johnson And Nigel Farage On ‘Last Week Tonight’ In The Wake Of Brexit Vote

There’s been quite a lot of news in the past week, and naturally ‘Last Week Tonight’host John Oliver chose to open his show with a segment on the UK’s choice to leave the EU. Oliver kicked things off by acknowledging that he wasn’t as overjoyed by David Cameron‘s resignation as he thought he’d be. “It’s like catching an ice cream cone out of the air, because a child was hit by a car,” he said. Obviously he also topped that excellent metaphor off with a dead pig joke.

He then went on to dub Nigel Farage “three time cover model for ‘Punchable Face’ magazine” and called Boris Johnson “a shaved orangutan with Owen Wilson’s hair”. He later pondered about who might take the reins from Cameron, and explained what Article 50 means for the UK’s future.

Check out his stellar EU-themed rant in the video
