Top Secret Drum Corps Drummers In Mind-Blowing Video
The Top Secret Drum Corps in Basel, Switzerland is renown for its members precision and dexterity. The Corps consists of 25 young male drummers and colorguard members who hold day jobs but believe in the power of the beat.
Coordinated military drumming dates back to the Middle Ages, when Swiss mercenaries would march into battle with drums strapped to their bodies. Now, however, the Corps incorporates Scottish and American styles into their repertoire, and even include juggling and light displays, their website proclaims.
The Corps began in 1990, but garnered international acclaim in 2003 when they performed at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, an annual drumming festival in Scotland.
Drummers -- and drumming fans -- are gearing up for the annual August musical performances outside Edinburgh Castle, where more than 200,000 people are expected to attend the festivities.
