MISSING - RTI activists' son from Golibar, Mumbai

Sajid Mohammed, a 15 year old boy from Golibar disappeared on his birthday, the 1st of August, 2012. His father, a RTI activist who fought against the builder lobby in Golibar, wrote complaints one after another stating that his life and that of his family were in danger but the police took no action. His son is still missing.

Facts of the case - police didn't take cognizance of death threats to the RTI activist or his family, nor did they file an FIR when the boy went missing, nor did they ask for police custody when they finally picked up the accused after sustained pressure from the father who got the Maharashtra home minister involved.

Other RTI activists in the city who fought the builder lobby who've been attacked in the past - Santosh Daundkar of BIT Chawl, Aba Tandel of Golibar, Sandeep Yeole of Ramnagar, Suresh Banjan of Indiranagar.
