Sanjay Tickoo's Open Letter to Omar Abdullah - Police Officers facilitating the sale of Temples & Asthapans

An open Letter
(also see update below)

Shri. Omar Abdullah
Hon’ble Chief Minister,
State of Jammu and Kashmir,

Subject: Incentives / Perks be granted to the Administrators / Police Officers who facilitate the selling of Temples and Asthapans of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir Valley.

Hon’ble Sir,

With all humility in our command we (KPSS on behalf of Kashmiri Pandits living in Kashmir) express gratitude that you and your administration are allowing us to live in Kashmir despite the fact that our presence is causing damage to your goodself’s and your government’s hidden agendas.

Being dim-witted KPSS have filed countless representations and applications before the persons who are at helm of affairs in your esteemed regime with the request to take necessary steps for the preservation and protection of temples and its endowment properties in Kashmir Valley and in addition to that have unfortunately succeeded in getting number directions by the intervention of Hon’ble High Court of J&K for the same. Despite the intervention of Hon’ble High Court and its directions, temple land mafia with the help of bureaucrats and Police Officers are encroaching, selling and damaging the temples properties in Kashmir. These bureaucrats and Police Officers take active participation in these acts by facilitating the malicious designs of temple land mafia in return to some benefits that your government is enable to provide them.

Recently one Nassirulla Khan son of Mohammad Sadiq resident of Hamdania Colony Shanpura, Srinagar illegally encroached the temple land belonging to Shri Sanatan Dharam Pratap Sabha on the midnight of 12th-13th October at around 1:00 AM at Tulsi Bagh Srinagar with the help of some top brass bureaucrats.

And on 28.10.2013, one Muzaffar Khan S/o Ghulam Qadir Khan R/o Momkhan, Khathi Darwaza, Srinagar and Shabir Ahmad Khan S/o Abdul Hamid Khan R/o Buchpora, Srinagar encroached the temple land at Kathi Darawaza belonging to Dharam Dass Mandir, Barbar Shah, Srinagar with the help of concerned SHO Police Station.

Just filing a FIR in these cases would not do any justice, but will be eyewash to us.

As such, KPSS suggest that your government should openly promote the sale and purchase of temples in Kashmir Valley and the incentives should be paid to the officers who facilitate these acts. These officers should be honoured and promoted to the next respective ranks.

KPSS is full aware that Kashmir is not run by a system, but by the men who want to declare Kashmir officially “Islamic or Muslim State” and for that the existence of any other religion will prove detrimental to the hidden plans.

Yours faithfully,

Sanjay K. Tickoo
President
Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti
