Former member accuses Muslim Brotherhood of ‘killing Egyptians’
A dissident from the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood holds the group leaders responsible for the ongoing violence in the country which has killed more than 750 in the past four days.Amr Amara, a formed Brotherhood member and founder of the Muslim Brotherhood youth coalition, called for the execution of all prominent members of the group for their role in what he termed to be the spilling of Egyptian blood.
Amara told Al Arabiya on Saturday that he was supported by 7000 members of the youth coalition and that they planned to “file a lawsuit on Saturday against the ousted President Mohammed Mursi, and the members of the guidance office, and the advisory board of the group, and the head of branches in the group for pitting themselves against their opponents and killing Egyptians.” The former Brotherhood member explained why he chose to cut ties with the group, accusing leaders of misguiding their supporters.
“We participated at the Sit-in of Rabia al-Adawiya on June 28th in response to the Muslim Brotherhood leadership who told us that this sit-in was to support the Defense Minister Lieutenant-General Abdulfattah al-Sissi, against the “Tamarod” (“Rebel”) movement, because he’s on our side with President Mursi, after the 48 hours ultimatum set by al-Sissi to the political parties to reach an agreement. But on July 1 we started doubting the statements of our leaders within the group, and we became certain of this [mistrust] when al-Sissi ousted President Mursi and nominated a temporary president.”
Amara continued: “We started asking the sit-in leaders on the ground about the next steps, they were promising us that the president would be reinstated in a day or two, but we realized that the group was trading with the blood of its youth and innocent demonstrators, which pushed us to leave the sit-in on Tuesday August 6 and found this coalition [which] aims to pull the group off the wrong track which might endanger its own existence and extinguish it forever.” Amara concluded that “the coming days will be full of surprises, which they will reveal to the attorney general.” Amara also alleged that the Egyptian armed forces and the presidential guards did not shoot “a single bullet” against the demonstrators, he instead accused Muslim Brotherhood leaders of orchestrating the violence.

Brotherhood had a year to rule. They squandered it. We've all talked about why. There was a popular revolt on June 30 against their rule, in huge numbers. Many called for the army during these revolts. The army took full advantage and came back to power. There was probably army sabotage along the way against the MB, but the MB destroyed their own chance quite dramatically as well. Many Egyptians are star struck about the army at this time because they were so scared of MB rule, same population two years before revolted against the army. MB accepted none of these realities or criticisms of their rule, and refused to compromise to hold early elections, going zero sum all the way. Then they encamp all around Cairo with cries of "legitimacy" that only the western press believes because it flatters them and their system of governance, which has become mythology. No one else is buying it and they have turned the MB page. MB doesn't put interests of Egypt first, and stubbornly fills squares, blocks roads, and creates a growingly impossible situation. Something must be done. Army listens to all calls for restraint, and tries it out, sees that no one is moving. Army is hubristic and arrogant and thinks that if they turn to mass violence they can knock this thing out in 24 hours. Wrong, of course. MB takes full advantage of army's brutality to create a massive martyrdom culture, entrench themselves further, and turns to armed violence and sectarian madness. Army will continue to retaliate, MB will continue to be relevant. Public doubles down in support of the army, a stance that I suspect will only harden. Remember the beginning of this story? MB were ousted.
I don't care if you are an Islamist, a satan worshiper, or an alien from planet Zorton. If you put your narrow interests before that of Egypt, even when you feel you have been treated unfairly, you are illegitimate. No one will ever accept it, no matter how much noise you make wherever you may make it.
Not as peaceful as they said
We do not attempt to justify why innocents were killed, or count how many are they, or claim knowing who has killed them all and how. Exposing fake information about an incident doesn’t mean that every other detail about it is also false. It is supposed to open the doors for unlocked minds to think. Put different pieces together. There’s a lot of verified media out there that is out of our current scope, i.e, exposing lies. Below are some the important pieces that the full image can not be complete without being included in it.
